About Mabry
Joel G. Mabry, President
Joel earned his Bachelor of Engineering Technology, with honors, in both Architectural Engineering Technology and Civil Engineering Technology at the Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia. He has over twelve years of experience in Retail Development, and has completed Power Centers throughout the Eastern United States. He also has two decades of experience in Commercial Construction as an Estimator and Project Manager on a variety of buildings and their related site work. He has worked the retail trade from the Owner’s side of the table, as well as the Contractor’s side.
Joel's first exposure to critical path scheduling was in the classroom. While employed in various architectural offices, he had the opportunity to review schedules prepared by others. While President of Mabry, Inc. (forerunner of Mabry Consulting Services, Inc) he prepared schedules by hand. As personal computers entered the work place, he began working with computer generated schedules, and has seen many improvements and enhancements with Microsoft Project. His scheduling experience includes light commercial construction, retail development, showroom availability, religious, banking and highway projects.
Mr. Mabry has taught many co-workers Microsoft Project ©, and currently teaches Scheduling to General Contractors, Developers and Individuals. He is a member of MPA (Microsoft Project Association), ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), AIA (American Institute of Architects), CSI (Construction Specification Institute) and SPSU Alumni Association.
